Sometimes you're not up for the workout on your calendar. Maybe you're tired, maybe life got in the way, maybe you just want to do something different.

A good coach doesn't just hand you a plan and walk away — they collaborate with you. That's the philosophy behind everything we build at Vici, and this week we shipped a feature that brings it to life.

Add or Change Any Workout

You can now ask your AI coach for a different workout on any day of your training plan. Whether you need something lighter because your legs are heavy, something harder because you're feeling great, or just a completely different type of session — Vici adapts.

Changing a workout in Vici — ask your coach for recommendations or request exactly what you want.

Here's how it works:

  • Ask for recommendations. Tell Vici how you're feeling or what you're looking for, and your coach will suggest alternatives that fit your training plan and current fitness level.
  • Request a specific workout. Already know what you want to run? Just tell Vici and it will slot it into your day with the right paces and structure.
  • Stay on track. Changed workouts are automatically adjusted to your VDOT-based training zones, so even an improvised session contributes to your overall plan.

The best training plan is the one you actually follow. Flexibility isn't a weakness — it's how real coaching works.

Rearrange Your Week

And if your workouts are fine but your schedule isn't, you can rearrange your entire week. Swap days around to fit your life — maybe the long run works better on Saturday this week instead of Sunday, or you need to move your tempo run to accommodate a work trip.

You'll find "Rearrange Schedule" in the quick actions menu on your Plan tab, or directly from the week view. Your coach handles the rest, making sure the flow of easy and hard days still makes sense.

Try It Out

This feature is live now in the Vici beta. If you're already using Vici, open your plan and tap any workout to see the new options. If you haven't tried Vici yet, download it free on TestFlight and connect your Strava to get started.

We're building Vici to be the kind of coach that actually listens. This is one more step in that direction — and we'd love to hear what you think.
